Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Kaila Canas (“Repti Habits,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Repti Habits application. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

Repti Habits is a recordkeeping and reminder tool for animal husbandry. Features may change, be added, or be discontinued. The app stores keeper records locally and offers optional sync through the private CloudKit database associated with the iCloud account on your device. It does not require or provide a separate operator-hosted account.

Not veterinary advice

Care cards, reminders, estimates, schedules, and other app content are general informational tools. They are not veterinary diagnosis, treatment, emergency advice, or a substitute for a qualified exotic-animal veterinarian. Species, individuals, environments, and local laws vary. You remain responsible for verifying care decisions and obtaining professional help when needed.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, animal welfare decisions, lawful animal ownership and care, device security, camera endpoints you configure, and backups of data you wish to retain. Do not use the app to violate law, invade another person’s privacy, access a camera or system without authorization, disrupt the service, or infringe another person’s rights.

Your content

You retain ownership of records, notes, photos, and other content you enter. The app does not upload that content to an account or database operated by us. If you enable iCloud sync, Apple processes supported keeper records through your private iCloud database. If a future feature needs to process content through an operator-hosted service, updated terms and privacy disclosures will explain the limited rights needed to provide that feature.

Third-party services and links

The app may open third-party care resources, camera endpoints, Apple services, or the iOS share sheet. Those services are controlled by others and their terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or practices.

Purchases and advertising

The current version has no advertising or paid features. If we later offer an ad-free unlock or other digital feature in the iOS app, purchases will be processed under Apple’s applicable App Store and in-app purchase terms. Future pricing, renewal, restoration, refund, and cancellation details will be shown before purchase. Advertising, if added, will be subject to the privacy choices described in the then-current privacy policy.

Ownership

Except for your content and third-party materials, the app, branding, design, software, and original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that reminders will arrive, records will never be lost, camera endpoints will work, or care information will be complete or error-free. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or animal-related losses arising from use of the app. Our total liability for claims relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the app during the preceding 12 months or US $25. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending use

You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling may remove local data but may not remove an iCloud copy; use the app’s Remove iCloud copy control first if you want to remove synced Repti Habits content from the connected iCloud account. We may suspend access to future online services for material misuse, subject to applicable law. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the app changes. We will update the effective date and provide any notice or consent required by law. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.

Apple terms

If you obtain the app through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s applicable standard end-user license terms also apply. If these Terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms, those mandatory terms control.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply.
